The historic Hoosier Gym, located a few blocks north of the Knightstown Town Square, is an exciting place for history buffs as well as basketball fans.  The inside of the gym was the Hickory Husker home court where the movie “Hoosiers” was shot.

The Hoosier Gym is a step back in time with a hardwood gym floor that dates back to 1932 and wooden bleachers reminiscent of school gymnasiums in the 1950’s.  The Hoosier Gym building is owned by the Town of Knightstown and is operated by a nonprofit organization, the Hoosier Gym.  The Board members of the Hoosier Gym work together to keep this community gem maintained and in a great condition so that the history of basketball in the Hoosier state can continue to be showcased here.
