Located off Hill Avenue on the west side of town, just south of U.S. Hwy. 40, Knightstown's Sunset Park is the perfect place for people of all ages to come and enjoy the outdoors. Whether taking a leisurely stroll through the park's scenic grounds or engaging in any number of recreational activities, Sunset Park has something for just about everyone!

Directly adjacent to a residential neighborhood, the park's nearly 35 acres includes a playground, a splash pad water attraction for cooling off on hot summer days and a basketball court, as well as a Babe Ruth baseball diamond that's used by older area youth each spring and summer and by adults who play in a coed softball league each fall. Sunset Park is also boasts two bodies of water, with Montgomery Creek running through it and a well-stocked spring-fed lake for those who enjoy fishing.

There are several shelters in the lower area of the park that serve as ideal spots for cookouts, family reunions and other types of get-togethers. And for those looking for a nice indoor venue for their events, the shelter house in the park's upper area, which includes a fully-functioning kitchen, is available for rent at an affordable price. (To reserve the shelter house, please complete the form found in the Documents section of the town website's Home page.)
